My wife and I did a day trip. We stopped here on a whim with our kids. The gentlemen/ owner tending bar was super fun for the kids. He was patient and brought all three of the kids huge coloring sheets. It was a great reprieve from a long day of driving. Food was delicious. Great place.
This is a great place to stop on your way back from Tupper Lake. We love the hot honey chicken sandwich.
The hot honey chicken sandwich was AMAZING, they also have amazing chicken piccata at dinner time. The owners are the friendliest people too! Highly recommend.
Not only was the food absolutely fantastic, but I haven’t had this much fun having lunch in a long time. What a fantastic little place, wonderful relaxed atmosphere. The perfect stop to finish up a weekend camping trip in the Adirondacks!
We make it a point to stop by the Moose whenever we visit Cranberry Lake. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious and the beer is cold. We both had the fish fry this time. It was delicious. The fish was tender, the beer batter crust was light and fried perfectly. The thin-sliced potato fries were tasty. Our server was the only one on duty and had a few tables but she was attentive and we never had to wait. We’ll be back!
Always thankful to have any place nearby during the field research season to kick back and enjoy some ice water and a hot meal, this place goes above and beyond that. Stopped in towards closing to few people in the restaurant and was met with a smile from the bartender and a gesture to have a seat! I placed my order and it was done to my exact specifications in a timely manner. The owners were friendly, helpful, and personable and just great company overall. Glad I decided to stop in and recommend to anyone hungry or thirsty!
When we arrived we were the only ones there but soon a few more parties came in. There was one waitress on duty and she was absolutely amazing. She was attentive to our needs, and answered all our questions. The owner even came out to make sure everything was good and we had to say it was exceptional! With all of the closing of businesses in the area, the Thirsty Moose is worth the drive to Childwold
We absolutely love this place. Their burgers and hot honey crispy chicken is what brought us back This time, we stayed in the little cabins and had so much fun! Every person we encountered was very friendly and made you feel at home!
